With safety and care, we patiently work your dog through three steps of learning: these steps include introductory /teaching, to confidence building, and challenge.
Step 1: Introductory/ teaching:
⦁ Dogs must be initially taught to use the fitness treadmill. Some dogs pick up on it right away while others may be nervous at first. We patiently spend time getting your pup feeling comfortable and moving on the treadmill during these beginning sessions. Slow and steady. The time in this stage of introduction may take several sessions and varies depending on the dog. Every dog is different.
Step 2: Confidence building
⦁ Your dog is comfortable on the treadmill and can mostly walk/jog on their own. We ensure your dog is moving at a safe and consistent pace for the entire session allowing for breaks and water. This step is primarily focused on gaining confidence and building endurance.
Step 3: Challenge
⦁ Your dog is running on their own. We will challenge your dog during the 30-minute session with incline, resistance, and speed intervals. This step we will be focusing on endurance and strength for optimal mental and physical wellbeing.

The benefit of our mobile dog gym is that the runs are private 1:1 sessions. The only time we have multiple dogs exercising together is when they live together or are pre-approved neighbors/friends.

Generally, within the first session we teach your dog how to balance and propel themselves on the treadmill. After that, the more they do it, the better they get as their confidence in themselves grows. All sessions are closely monitored with your pups safety our top priority. Since there are NO MOTORS on the treadmills, the dogs run and move at their desired pace . We monitor their movements and take our time to ensure a safe and positive experience.

Every dog is different! Some learn to propel themselves on the treadmill right away while others need a few sessions to build confidence in themselves and the equipment. One of the many benefits of See Spot Run Mobile is they don’t HAVE to be sprinting the entire time in order to get a good workout. No matter the pace, they are focusing, balancing and moving the entire session. Your dog will be engaged mentally and physically the entire 30 minutes.

We can typically schedule a few days out. Same day appointments can be difficult to accommodate, so the sooner you know when you’d like a session, the better. You’ll receive a confirmation text the day before and an ETA text when we’re on our way so you can get in a potty break, get their harness on with leash, and ready to go! If you have a favorite harness you like to use, go ahead and put them in it for their session.
Otherwise, we provide harnesses for safety and comfort during their run. Please make sure that any food is given at least 2 hours before their session to prevent full bowels or a full stomach of food which can be uncomfortable. Once we arrive, please bring your dog out to the mobile dog gym or let us know if you’ll need help at the door, we are happy to lend a hand!

Our top priorities are safety and positivity! Our goal is to give your dog the best workout customized to their needs. We closely supervise their movements and encourage them to walk, jog or run throughout the whole session, stopping for breaks and water as needed.
Our treadmills are NOT MOTORIZED, so your dog does all the work, and NOTHING is forced. We are there to ensure a safe and fun exercise session with positive reinforcement that includes cheering, clapping, squeaky toys, and overall love and attention.
Typically we will not use treats since there are many dogs that use us for weight loss or have dietary needs or restrictions. You are more than welcome to hang out and feel free to join us to cheer your dog along during their session!

Your dog may pant for some time after their session and may just want to sprawl out on the cool floor. Wait until their heart rate slows before offering any food but make sure there is water available and they will need to go potty after drinking.
Some dogs get a burst of energy after their session, that’s also normal due to the adrenaline and endorphins. Once their heart rate slows down and they relax, the energy will burn off.
For unconditioned or older dogs, we recommend giving their hind legs a nice rubdown to release lactic acid and prevent soreness the next few days.

Always clear any physical activity with your veterinarian first. All our canine clients must be at least 6 months old and be up to date on all vaccinations.
We can accommodate anywhere from 10 lbs – 125 lbs and have experience with a variety of breeds and personalities. Please let us know your dog’s needs and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

From our Liability Form- Cancellation Policy: Owner agrees to keep their scheduled session, and we understand that dogs, people, and life are unpredictable at times.
We send out a confirmation text the day before a scheduled session to prevent unexpected changes and assume confirmed unless otherwise noted. If rescheduling or canceling is needed, the owner agrees to let us know, at minimum, by 8pm the day before their session to allow adjustment on our end. Cancellations made the same day will result in a $15 cancellation fee, and any sessions canceled within an hour of the scheduled time, or no shows will be charged at full cost of the missed session.

For the first session we require you to be present during the session to meet everyone, and so your dog sees your positive affirmation in the new environment.
After that, you are welcome to hand off at the door or van. We may also provide service if you are not home, however this is discussed and determined on a case-by-case bases.
